Drawing with chalk is not something I am very used to, but I enjoyed it very much. It's difficult to make finer details with chalk. However, I think with practice I would be able to make some things look a little more detailed then I can at the moment. Chalk is harder to keep clean than other medias I have used, though I found blending with chalk to be fairly easy. I also noticed that it is difficult to blend lighter colors into darker colors, so white highlights that are meant to make the wrapper on the mint look reflective and realistic really just made it look a bit odd. Though I do believe that blending white in to look transparent on the end parts of the wrapper and using white to highlight those areas was a good idea, even if it was a somewhat poorly executed.
The Dum-Dum was drawn using Prismacolor Pencils, and while I have drawn with colored pencils before I haven't drawn with Prismacolor so it was a bit different for me. In a good way though because I found Prismacolors to be much easier to use and blend with each other than regular brand pencils. Shading areas to make the wrapper seem shaded was a bit difficult in my opinion, but I feel that with practice it will make more sense to me. Overall I think that I did alright drawing a Dum-Dum with colored pencils, as I was able to color and shade most of the drawing appropriately.
Oil pastels were used to create a drawing of a Jolly Rancher and I found it to be quite enjoyable. I'm a little more used to oil pastels than I am with chalk, and I think that I had an easier time making this piece look to have some kind of wrapper going around it. The candy itself I believe could have used more shading in order to give it more shape, but I think that with more time I could create a fairly well done piece with oil pastels.
